RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr. Wang’s research interests include the three areas of human body composition study: body composition models, body composition methodology, and body composition alterations. Currently, Dr. Wang is conducting several studies:

  1. muscularity in living human and its variation by gender, age, race, physical activity, nutrition, and diseases
  2. theoretical explanation of several classical body composition rules such as relatively constant ratio of total body water to fat-free body mass (0.73 kg/kg), ratio of total body potassium to fat-free body mass (68 mmol/kg), and density of fat-free body mass (1.10 g/cm3)
  3. total body measurement and protein distribution on the cellular body composition level
