SUSAN CARNELL, Ph.D.

Susan Carnell is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow working with Dr. Allan Geliebter on biological and psychological factors relating to obesity and appetite regulation. She received her BA in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford and her PhD in Health Psychology from University College London (UCL). She held an ESRC/MRC Post-doctoral Research Fellowship at UCL from 2005-2007 and retains honorary status there. She is currently co-ordinating an NIH grant examining appetite hormones in binge eating disorder.

  • Appetite regulation in children and adults
  • Genetic and environmental influences on appetite
  • Childhood obesity
  • Measuring child eating behavior
  • Parental feeding style
