| Dr. Kissileff trains undergraduate (Barnard
College honors theses, Columbia College, Department of Biology independent
study) and graduate students (through the Institute of Human Nutrition's
master's and doctoral programs) and post-doctoral fellows in research
on the physiological mechanisms of normal and disordered eating behavior
in humans. The student should have training in biology, chemistry, physics, and psychology, including some exposure to experimental design and statistics. Summer and term projects can be arranged by consultation. Canididates for undergraduate degrees can perform independent study for credit with Dr. Kissileff, through arrangements with their home departments. Dr. Kissileff employs college graduates with training in biology, chemistry, or psychology as technologists who help conduct his research on physiological mechanisms of human eating.
