Dr. Lin is a post-doctoral research fellow at the New York Obesity Research Center, Institute of Human Nutrition, Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in 2008-2009. He is Board-certified in Family Medicine, Community Medicine, Geriatrics Medicine, Obesity Medicine, and Hospice Palliative Medicine. Dr. Lin is also the director of obesity prevention center and hospice palliative unit in China Medical University Hospital (CMUH), Taiwan. He also involved the field of cancer cachexia, betel nut chewing, and preventive medicine. Dr. Lin is the full-time attending physician of family medicine in CMUH and Assistant Professor of department of family medicine in China Medical University (CMU), Taiwan. He is also a member and council member of many medical associations such as NAASO, TMASO, TAFM, TAAFM, TAGG, TAIH, TAAM, TAHPM, APHN, IAHPC, and so on.

Dr.Lin has been involved in range of clinical and epidemiological research such as obesity, hospice palliative medicine, cancer cachexia, community medicine, diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and behavioral medicine, etc. He is also experienced in drug trial.
