Dr. Heliodoro Aleman Mateo is Visiting Foreign Research Fellow at the New York Obesity Research Center. His current research interest is in the field of geriatric nutrition, particularly, risk factors for chronic diseases in apparently healthy older people; body composition (methodologies, and its association with morbidity); energy metabolism (energy expenditure and requirements), and nutritional status of micro and macronutrients in healthy elderly subjects. Dr. Heliodoro Aleman Mateo and Dr. Gallagher are working together on data relates to sarcopenia in elderly people and other relates body composition issues.
