Study Description:

Study is designed to understand the mechanisms by which type 2 diabetes goes into remission after bariatric surgery. Participants are studied before and at various time intervals after bariatric surgery, at St Luke's Clinical Research Center at 114th street. The study consist of 2 types of glucose tolerance test. Blood glucose, insulin and other hormonal measurements are done during the test. Some body composition tests are also performed.
